Job Summary

The Medical Representative – OTC Products is responsible for promoting and selling the company's Over-the-Counter (OTC) healthcare products to doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, clinics, and retail outlets. The role focuses on building strong professional relationships, increasing product awareness, achieving sales targets, and expanding market presence within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and detail OTC healthcare products to doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and ensure consistent growth in the designated territory.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, pharmacies, distributors, and key accounts.
  • Conduct regular visits to doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, and retail outlets to generate product awareness and sales.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on product features, benefits, indications, and competitive advantages.
  • Monitor product availability and coordinate with distributors to ensure adequate stock levels in the market.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
  • Organize and participate in product presentations, medical camps, promotional activities, and awareness programs.
  • Collect and report market intelligence, including competitor activities, pricing strategies, and customer feedback.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports and submit them to management on time.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical promotion practices, and industry regulations.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and provide timely support to healthcare professionals and channel partners.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and territory performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Science, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical sales or OTC product promotion is preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical and healthcare products.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
