About the Job 

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Lead QA Engineer to join our dynamic team at AITC International. This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead quality assurance initiatives, mentor junior QA members, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automation, performance, and API testing, along with a strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies. 

Key Responsibilities 

Test Planning & Strategy: 

• Define QA strategy, test plans, and test cases for web, mobile, and backend systems. 
• Take ownership of overall product quality and ensure alignment with business objectives. 
• Identify areas for improvement in testing processes and implement best practices. 

Automation & Tooling: 

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts using tools such as Playwright/cypress, Postman, and JMeter. 
• Evaluate and implement new testing tools and frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage. 
• Drive adoption of continuous testing practices in CI/CD pipelines. 

Functional & Non-Functional Testing: 

• Perform thorough functional, regression, integration, and system testing. 
• Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to ensure scalability and reliability. 
• Ensure application security and compliance with QA standards. 

Security & Compliance: 

• Conduct security and vulnerability testing to identify potential risks in applications. 
• Ensure QA processes comply with industry security standards (e.g., OWASP, ISO, HIPAA if relevant). 
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to remediate vulnerabilities and enforce secure coding practices. 
• Review and validate access controls, authentication, and data protection mechanisms. 
• Support penetration testing efforts and integrate security testing into automated pipelines. 

Leadership & Team Growth: 

• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers on best practices, coding standards, and testing methodologies. 
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and developing QA talent within the team. 
• Lead QA team meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues. 

Stakeholder & Cross-functional Collaboration: 

• Communicate QA risks, timelines, and quality metrics to Product Managers, Dev Leads, and other stakeholders. 
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Product teams to ensure seamless delivery and quality standards. 
• Relay client or business requirements accurately to the QA and development teams.

Process Ownership & Continuous Improvement: 

• Establish QA standards, guidelines, and best practices across projects. 
• Track and report QA metrics, test coverage, defect trends, and test execution status. 
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and quality ROI. 

Other Responsibilities: 

• Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues not covered in automated or manual test cases. 
• Stay updated with emerging QA trends, tools, and technologies. 
• Assist in defining quality benchmarks and ensuring compliance across projects. 

Requirements 

• 5+ years of experience in QA, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role. 
• Strong experience in automation testing (Playwright/Cypress, Postman, JMeter, etc.). 
• Solid understanding of SQL, APIs, and backend systems. 
• Exposure to AI/ML-based testing is a plus. 
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 
• Experience in team leadership, mentorship, and stakeholder management. 
• Ability to manage multiple projects, define processes, and lead a team effectively. 
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and Agile methodologies. 
• Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced or Agile Testing are a plus.
