Ottish aims to reshape traditional education by empowering individuals with flexible, relevant, and practical knowledge.Role Description The Xero Trainer will design and deliver structured training sessions on Xero accounting software to learners at various levels of experience. This full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu involves preparing lesson plans, creating training materials and exercises, and conducting interactive classes and workshops. The trainer will demonstrate core Xero functionalities, such as setting up organizations, managing invoices, bank reconciliations, reporting, and integrations, while ensuring learners can apply concepts to real-world scenarios. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing learner needs, providing individualized support and feedback, monitoring progress, and updating course content to reflect product changes and best practices. The Xero Trainer will collaborate with the Ottish team to enhance curriculum quality, participate in academic planning, and contribute to the overall learner experience.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Xero accounting software, including setup, daily transactions, reporting, and practical use in business environments.
- Solid grounding in accounting and bookkeeping principles, such as financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and basic taxation concepts.
- Demonstrated training, teaching, or facilitation skills, with experience designing curricula, lesson plans, and learning activities for diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and engage learners in an interactive classroom setting.
- Proficiency with digital tools used in education, such as learning management systems, presentation software, and online collaboration platforms.
- Ability to assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Education, or a related field; professional certifications in Xero or accounting are an advantage.
- Previous experience in training, coaching, or teaching within a professional or academic setting, preferably related to accounting or business software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with reliability in maintaining schedules and meeting instructional commitments.
- Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered education and openness to continuous improvement in teaching practices.
