Role Description:

The Store Officer – Banquet Operations is a contract, on-site role based in Kathmandu. This role is responsible for managing banquet-related stock and inventory, including receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking all materials, supplies, and equipment used in banquet operations. The Store Officer will prepare and verify purchase requests, coordinate with procurement and banquet teams to ensure timely availability of items, and maintain accurate records in inventory systems. Daily tasks include monitoring stock levels, conducting regular physical stock checks, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring proper storage conditions and compliance with company procedures. The role also involves collaborating with operations and finance to support cost control, prevent wastage, and contribute to efficient banquet service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in stock control and stock management to ensure accurate tracking and availability of banquet inventory.
  • Candidates should possess skills in inventory control and inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize losses.
  • Candidates should possess experience handling purchase orders to support timely procurement and coordination with suppliers.
  • Attention to detail and basic numerical/analytical skills for record-keeping, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Prior experience in hospitality, events, or banquet operations storekeeping is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and follow established operational procedures.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and inventory or POS systems is an advantage.
  • Minimum high school diploma; vocational or technical training in storekeeping, supply chain, or hospitality is a plus.
