We’re Hiring: Module Leader – Fundamentals of Computer Systems
ACE International Business School is inviting applications for the position of Module Leader – Fundamentals of Computer Systems.
The module introduces students to the core principles of computer architecture, hardware, operating systems, data representation and low-level programming, supported by practical laboratory work.
Key Teaching Areas
- Binary, hexadecimal and data representation
- CPU architecture, registers, ALU and control unit
- Fetch–decode–execute cycle
- Assembly and machine language
- Memory and storage hierarchy
- Linux, command line and basic scripting
- File systems and directories
- Distributed, parallel and multi-core systems
- Embedded systems and peripherals
- Client/Server and N-Tier architectures
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computing, Information Technology, Electronics, or a closely related discipline
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems and low-level computing concepts
- Practical knowledge of Linux, command-line environments and assembly language
- Prior higher education teaching experience preferred
- Candidates with at least one year of teaching experience in an international, transnational, or foreign-affiliated higher education programme will be prioritised
- Experience teaching Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, Computer Systems, Assembly Language, or related modules will be advantageous
The successful candidate will be responsible for module delivery, laboratory teaching, assessment, student support and academic quality assurance.
