Position Summary

Megatech Group Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and result-oriented Government Sales Manager to lead and expand our government business across Federal, Provincial, and Local Government organizations in Nepal.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying government opportunities, building strong relationships with government stakeholders, monitoring procurement plans, managing tender participation, and driving revenue growth through government projects. The role requires a thorough understanding of Nepal's public procurement process, government budgeting cycle, and e-Government Procurement (e-GP) system.

Key Responsibilities

Government Business Development

  • Develop and execute strategies to expand MGPL's business within Federal, Provincial, and Local Government organizations.
  • Identify upcoming government ICT projects, procurement plans, and budget allocations.
  • Generate new business opportunities through regular visits to ministries, departments, constitutional bodies, municipalities, provincial ministries, public enterprises, and other government institutions.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of government opportunities to achieve annual sales targets.
  • Promote MGPL's complete portfolio of ICT, networking, surveillance, enterprise infrastructure, storage, and power solutions.

Government Relations & Stakeholder Management

  • Build long-term relationships with government officials, procurement committees, project teams, consultants, and decision-makers.
  • Coordinate with consultants and government agencies during project planning and specification stages.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to position MGPL's products during project planning and technical evaluation.
  • Represent MGPL in meetings, technical discussions, and government-related events.

Tender Management & Documentation

  • Monitor procurement notices through Nepal's Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) portal and other government procurement platforms.
  • Lead the preparation of tender documents, technical compliance sheets, commercial proposals, BOQs, bid documentation, and supporting documents.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for pricing, product specifications, authorization letters, compliance documents, and certifications.
  • Ensure timely submission of bids and compliance with the Public Procurement Act and related regulations.
  • Manage tender clarifications, evaluations, negotiations, and contract documentation.

Sales & Project Coordination

  • Promote and sell enterprise ICT solutions including:
    • Lenovo Laptops, Desktops, Workstations, Servers, and Storage
    • Matrix Access Control, Time Attendance, and IP Communication Solutions
    • CCTV & Video Surveillance Systems
    • Networking Solutions
    • Numeric UPS & Power Backup Solutions
    • Western Digital & SanDisk Storage Solutions
  • Coordinate with technical, documentation, logistics, finance, and service teams to ensure smooth project execution and successful delivery.
  • Follow up on purchase orders, deliveries, invoicing, payments, and project completion.
Market Intelligence

  • Monitor government ICT policies, procurement trends, annual budgets, and development projects.
  • Track competitor activities, upcoming tenders, and new business opportunities.
  • Develop strategic plans to increase MGPL's presence in the government sector.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Government Sales, Public Sector Business Development, or Government Procurement, preferably in the ICT or technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of Nepal's Public Procurement Act, Public Procurement Regulations, and the Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) system.
  • Proven experience in managing government tenders, bid documentation, and public sector sales.
  • Experience in preparing technical compliance documents, commercial proposals, quotations, and tender documentation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong documentation and proposal writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
