The Role
BNU’s Global Collaborations Office is responsible for planning and implementing effective recruitment strategies to build the University’s brand and profile in key international markets, while supporting ambitious student enrolment targets. Reporting to the Regional Advisor - South Asia and with accountability to the Head of Global Collaborations, the Recrutiment Advisor – Nepal will play an important role in strengthening the University’s recruitment presence across Nepal, supporting student enrolment growth, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development opportunities.
The role holder will help implement market-specific recruitment strategies and activities designed to achieve ambitious enrolment targets. The position requires close collaboration with colleagues across Marketing, Admissions, Compliance, and Academic teams to ensure effective recruitment operations aligned with compliance.
This is a highly relationship-focused role requiring strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and experience working within international education environments. The role will involve regular travel across Nepal and occasional travel to the UK for training and strategic meetings.
The position will be based in Nepal.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the execution of recruitment plans and strategies to maximise student enrolment growth from Nepal.
· Represent the University at education fairs, school visits, student counselling sessions, and recruitment events.
· Develop and maintain relationships with education agents, schools, colleges, sponsors, alumni, and other stakeholders.
· Work closely with the University’s existing recruitment partners while identifying new partnership opportunities within Nepal.
· Guide prospective students and offer holders regarding programmes, scholarships, entry criteria, application procedures, and visa requirements.
· Support recruitment and admissions processes in line with UKVI compliance requirements and responsible recruitment practices.
· Organise and support events such as pre-departure briefings, applicant counselling sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities.
· Assist in implementing marketing campaigns and promotional activities across the region.
· Conduct market research and provide market intelligence on competitor activities, student trends, and recruitment opportunities.
· Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on recruitment activities and outcomes.
· Coordinate travel schedules and support visits from University representatives.
· Contribute to wider international recruitment initiatives and projects as required.
Person Specification
· Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably with exposure to UK or international education systems.
· Demonstrable experience in international student recruitment, counselling, or higher education.
· Good understanding of the Nepal student recruitment market and education sector.
· Experience managing relationships with agents and external stakeholders.
· Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
· Understanding of UK visa and immigration processes is desirable.
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
· Experience using CRM systems, digital tools, and social media platforms for recruitment purposes.
· Good analytical and reporting skills.
· Flexible and adaptable approach to work and travel requirements.
· Ability to undertake regular travel within Nepal and occasional overseas travel.
· Valid passport required.
