Job Description
ï‚
- Must have proven experience in hydropower plant operations, with strong technical and managerial expertise in hydroelectric power generation systems.
ï‚
- Oversee overall operations of the hydropower plant including generation, maintenance, safety, and performance optimization.
ï‚
- Ensure continuous and efficient power generation in line with operational targets and grid requirements.
ï‚
- Manage operation of key systems such as turbines, generators, penstocks, governors, control systems, and switchyards.
ï‚
- Plan and supervise preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and civil systems.
ï‚
- Monitor plant performance parameters such as efficiency, head loss, water flow, and energy output.
ï‚
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and regulatory authority requirements.
ï‚
- Coordinate with grid operators, regulatory bodies, and transmission authorities for smooth power evacuation.
ï‚
- Lead and manage plant teams including engineers, technicians, and operators.
ï‚
- Develop manpower planning, training, and performance evaluation systems to improve operational efficiency.
ï‚
- Optimize water resource utilization and ensure proper reservoir and flow management coordination.
ï‚
- Prepare operational reports, energy generation reports, and performance analysis for senior management.
ï‚
- Manage emergency response, fault handling, and system restoration during outages or failures.
ï‚
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency enhancement and cost reduction.
