Role Description

The Assistant Sales Manager is responsible for supporting the sales team in driving room, event, and service bookings for Hotel Himalaya. This is an on-site role based in Kathmandu, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and local partners. Day-to-day tasks include identifying new business opportunities, coordinating sales visits and property tours, preparing proposals and quotations, and tracking sales performance. The role also involves assisting with marketing campaigns, maintaining accurate records in sales systems, and collaborating with front office, events, and operations teams to ensure a smooth guest experience from inquiry to check-out. The Assistant Sales Manager contributes to revenue growth by supporting negotiations, participating in local promotions, and providing regular reports and feedback to the HOD.


Qualifications

  • Strong skills in sales support, client relationship management, and local business development, with the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities.
  • Competence in basic marketing activities, including coordinating promotions, supporting digital and offline campaigns, and representing the hotel at local events.
  • Proficiency in communication and negotiation, including clear written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Solid organizational and administrative abilities, such as managing reports, maintaining accurate records, handling multiple tasks, and using common office software tools.
  • Prior experience in hospitality, sales, or customer service, preferably within hotels or travel and tourism, is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant education in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu, collaborate with diverse teams, and adapt to a fast-paced, guest-centered environment.
