Job Description
We're Hiring: IT OfficerWe are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day IT support, maintaining hardware and software systems, managing IT assets, and ensuring the smooth operation of the organization's technology infrastructure.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support- Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems, escalating complex issues when required.
- Record and track support requests, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
- Assist end-users with system setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including workstations, printers, local networks, and basic electrical equipment.
- Ensure systems are updated, secure, and functioning efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Manage inventory of IT equipment and support the company's inventory management system.
- Coordinate device allocation, maintenance, and replacement as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in IT Support, Helpdesk, or System Administration.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, software installation, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of internet security, cybersecurity best practices, and data privacy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience with Windows environments, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and basic networking.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and IT asset management.
- Knowledge of basic network configuration and troubleshooting.
- Professional IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are an advantage.
