Role Description The Korea Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu, responsible for guiding students interested in studying in Korea through the entire counselling and application process. Day-to-day tasks include conducting one-on-one counselling sessions, assessing student profiles, and recommending suitable courses, universities, and pathways in Korea. The role involves explaining admission requirements, visa processes, and cultural expectations, as well as assisting with documentation, applications, and follow-up with institutions. The counselor will maintain accurate student records, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and participate in information sessions or outreach activities to promote Korean education opportunities. The position requires consistent in-person interaction with students and families at the Kathmandu office.
Qualifications
  • Strong student counselling and advisory skills, with the ability to assess individual goals and provide tailored guidance.
  • Knowledge of Korean education systems, universities, and admission processes, including visa and migration requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English; knowledge of Korean language is an advantage.
  • Organizational and documentation skills for managing applications, maintaining records, and tracking student progress.
  • Customer service orientation, with empathy, patience, and the ability to build trust with students and families.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu, collaborate with colleagues, and adapt to a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Management, or a related field; experience in education consultancy or international student services is preferred.
