About The Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and who has strong learning desire, Settlement Officer to join our team to support the smooth and timely settlement of approved home loans through accurate document handling, client communication, and lender coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the transition from home loan approval through to settlement by preparing and coordinating all necessary settlement tasks, ensuring loans are ready to settle on time
- Liaise effectively with clients, lenders, and conveyancers/solicitors to keep all parties informed and aligned throughout the settlement process
- Review, manage, and track home loan documents and clearly explain their contents and requirements to clients
- Provide settlement-related support and escalations for internal teams, including Credit Analysts, EMSs, and the Concierge team
- Monitor and report settlement progress and performance metrics to the Team Lead, ensuring visibility of milestones
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and settlement tracking
- Handle a portfolio of up to 30 active applications, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate processing
Required Experience
- Up to 1 year of experience in financial services or mortgage support role
- Understanding of the Australian home loan process
- Experience liaising with clients, lenders, and conveyancers in a professional and efficient manner
- Familiarity with settlement procedures for expat clients
- Prior involvement in handling urgent escalations or complex settlement cases
- Background in supporting cross-functional teams such as Credit Analysts, Loan Processors, or Client Concierge
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration
- Proven ability to prioritise and handle multiple settlements simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work
