This position is responsible for end-to-end processing of Australian home loan applications, including collecting and reviewing borrower information, verifying supporting loan documents, and ensuring applications meet lender and regulatory requirements. The role involves coordinating with brokers, lenders, and borrowers, updating internal systems, and tracking files through each stage of assessment and approval. The Senior Loan Processor will also support underwriting tasks, identify issues or missing information, and proactively follow up to ensure timely turnaround. The individual is expected to maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and customer communication while mentoring junior processors as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in loan processing and handling Australian mortgage loans, with at least 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in managing and validating loan documents, including income verification, credit reports, and property-related paperwork.
- Solid understanding of underwriting principles and lender credit policies for Australian residential mortgages.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with brokers, lenders, and borrowers, and for documenting file updates clearly.
- High attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple files simultaneously.
- Familiarity with mortgage CRM or loan origination systems and standard office productivity tools.
- Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu, collaborate within a team environment, and meet strict turnaround times.
- Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred; prior experience with Australian lenders or aggregators is an advantage.
