Role Description The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations to ensure clean, safe, and well-presented guest rooms and public areas. This full-time, on-site role in Kohalpur includes planning daily cleaning schedules, assigning tasks, and supervising housekeeping and laundry staff to maintain consistent standards. The Executive Housekeeper monitors inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, coordinates with maintenance for any room or facility issues, and implements health, safety, and hygiene procedures. The role includes training team members, conducting room inspections, addressing guest requests or concerns promptly, and collaborating with front office and other departments to support smooth hotel operations. The Executive Housekeeper is expected to lead by example, maintain detailed records, and contribute to continuous improvement in housekeeping processes and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong organization skills with the ability to plan schedules, manage inventory, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with laundry operations, including care of linens, uniforms, and proper use of equipment and detergents.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and other departments, and for addressing guest inquiries clearly and professionally.
- Proven customer service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, discretion, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all guests.
- Ability to train, mentor, and supervise housekeeping staff, including setting performance expectations and providing feedback.
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping leadership or similar supervisory role is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of cleaning standards, hygiene and safety protocols, and basic maintenance reporting procedures.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods, and to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Diploma or certificate in hospitality management or related field is an advantage, though equivalent experience will be considered.
