Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Officer located in the Dolakha District. The EHS Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety protocols and environmental policies to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, identifying hazards, delivering training programs, maintaining documentation, and promoting a culture of safety awareness. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the well-being of employees and the sustainability of projects.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, and the ability to conduct inspections and risk assessments
  • Experience in developing and implementing environmental policies and procedures
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and training abilities
  • Proficiency in documentation and report writing
  • Attention to detail and the ability to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in hydropower or infrastructure projects is an advantage
  • Familiarity with local Nepali regulations and standards related to health, safety, and environmental management
