The Specification Consultant (Hilti Department) plays a strategic, high-impact role responsible for driving product specifications and technical adoption of Hilti solutions across construction projects. This role involves collaborating with consultants, contractors, designers, and internal sales teams to ensure Hilti products are specified, approved, and converted into successful sales.
Key Responsibilities
Specification & Business Development
- Drive specification of Hilti products and solutions in construction projects.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with consultants, designers, and key specifiers.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through project tracking and stakeholder engagement.
- Support the conversion of specifications into actual sales in coordination with Account Managers.
Technical Advisory & Support
- Provide expert technical advice, product recommendations, and customized solutions based on project requirements.
- Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to ensure proper product selection.
- Conduct technical evaluations of design documents and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and client requirements.
Client Engagement & Training
- Conduct technical presentations, seminars, and training sessions for consultants, clients, and project teams.
- Educate stakeholders on the benefits, applications, and value of Hilti products and design software.
- Install, train, and support specifiers in using Hilti design software tools.
Site Visits & Project Support
- Visit construction sites to assess design challenges and identify opportunities.
- Ensure proper installation and application of specified products.
- Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting when required.
Coordination & Internal Alignment
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align strategies and product positioning.
- Support the introduction and specification of new products (INP).
- Maintain accurate documentation of specifications and update them throughout project lifecycles.
Key Targets & Deliverables (MBO)
- Increase specification rate of Hilti products and services
- Generate and convert qualified leads into sales
- Ensure adoption and usage of Hilti design software by specifiers
- Successful introduction and specification of new products
- Strengthen relationships with key influencers in construction projects
