Brij Glass Industries Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Mechanical Engineer for the role of PPC Coordinator. The position is responsible for production planning, scheduling, material coordination, and monitoring of manufacturing processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of glass products while maintaining quality standards.

Production Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales orders and forecasts.
• Coordinate with the Sales team to prioritize orders and ensure timely execution.
• Develop and monitor production schedules for toughened glass, DGU, lamination, and other product lines.
• Optimize machine loading and capacity utilization.

Production Monitoring & Control

• Track production progress against plan and highlight deviations.
• Ensure adherence to delivery timelines and escalate potential delays.
• Monitor bottlenecks in production and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain production MIS and daily performance reports.

Material Planning & Inventory Coordination

• Plan raw material requirements in coordination with the Purchase and Stores teams.
• Ensure availability of glass, interlayers, hardware, and consumables to avoid line stoppages.
• Monitor WIP (Work-in-Progress) and finished goods inventory.
• Support passbook/material reconciliation for import rebate compliance.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Liaise with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Dispatch, and Sales teams.
• Coordinate with the QC team to ensure inspection schedules align with dispatch plans.
• Support dispatch planning to optimize logistics and vehicle utilization.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce wastage, and enhance efficiency.
• Implement basic lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support ERP/data system updates related to production planning.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily production reports, order status reports, and delay analysis.
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and internal reviews.
• Provide periodic performance dashboards to management.

• Material availability vs. line stoppage incidents

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
• 1–4 years of experience in PPC/production planning in manufacturing (glass industry preferred).
• Fresh mechanical engineers with strong analytical skills may also be considered.
• Experience with ERP/MIS systems is an advantage.
