Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Psychology Teacher role located in Kathmandu. The Psychology Teacher will design and deliver engaging psychology lessons, prepare teaching materials, and align lesson plans with the college’s curriculum and academic standards. Daily responsibilities include conducting classroom instruction, facilitating discussions, assessing student performance through assignments and examinations, and providing constructive feedback. The role involves mentoring students, supporting their academic and personal development, maintaining accurate records of attendance and grades, and participating in departmental meetings, trainings, and academic events. The teacher is expected to collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Education and Psychology, with the ability to apply educational best practices to classroom teaching.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Teaching, including designing structured, engaging lessons aligned with curriculum objectives.
- Effective Communication skills for clear instruction, student guidance, and collaboration with faculty and administration.
- Experience in Training and mentoring students, with the ability to support diverse learning needs.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Previous teaching experience at the college or secondary level is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics, use appropriate assessment methods, and integrate relevant teaching resources.
- Commitment to professional ethics, inclusivity, and continuous development in teaching and subject knowledge.
