Job Description
BIM MODELER(MEP)
1. Eligibility Checklist (Must -Have)
☐ Minimum one year of experience working as a BIM Modeler in MEP projects
☐ Holds Engineering License / Relevant Certification
☐ Knowledge of Revit for MEP modeling
☐ Basic knowledge of AutoCAD MEP or similar drafting tools
☐ Ability to interpret MEP shop drawings
☐ Understanding of MEP coordination with other disciplines
☐ Knowledge of clash detection, resolution, and reporting
☐ Basic understanding of construction sequencing and how BIM supports it
☐ Awareness of how MEP systems integrate within construction
☐ Problem-solving ability for design conflicts
☐ Attention to detail in modeling and documentation
☐ Basic awareness of project management (schedule, deliverables, milestones)
☐ Knowledge of safety standards related to MEP installation
☐ Ability to follow instructions and support senior engineers
☐ Strong communication and teamwork skills
2. Educational Qualification(Must-Have)
☐Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
3. Software Proficiency (Must-Have)
Software
Revit ☐
AutoCAD ☐
4. Building Information Modeling(BIM) & Virtual Design and Construction(VDC) Fundamentals(Must-Have)
☐ Understand BIM beyond 3D modeling.
☐ Familiar with LOD (Level of Development).
☐ Understanding that BIM supports coordination, construction, and delivery.
☐ Understanding of clash detection.
5. MEP Technical Knowledge(Must-Have)
☐ HVAC Systems
☐ Plumbing Systems
☐ Electrical Systems
☐ Ability to perform basic routing (duct/pipe/cable tray)
☐ Understanding how MEP systems integrate with structure & architecture
6. Drawing & Documentation(Must-Have)
☐ Ability to read and understand MEP drawings.
☐ Familiar with shop drawings .
☐ Familiar with as-built drawings .
☐ Understands drawing scales, symbols, and legends .
7. Coordination & Problem-Solving(Must-Have)
☐ Experience in coordination/model review.
☐ Can identify clashes/issues.
☐ Understanding of issue resolution workflow
