Job Description
Enlighten Skills and Vocational Training is looking for Caregiver Trainer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver theoretical and practical caregiver training in accordance with the approved curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, training materials, and practical exercises to achieve learning outcomes.
- Conduct demonstrations and supervise hands-on practical sessions using appropriate training equipment.
- Foster an engaging, inclusive, and learner-centered classroom environment.
- Evaluate trainee performance through practical assessments, assignments, quizzes, and examinations.
- Monitor trainee attendance, participation, discipline, and academic progress.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback to support trainee development.
- Identify trainees requiring additional support and provide remedial guidance where necessary.
- Train students in caregiving fundamentals, including:
- Personal care and hygiene assistance
- Patient mobility and transfer techniques
- Nutrition and meal assistance
- Basic first aid and emergency response
- Infection prevention and control
- Elderly care and disability support
- Communication skills and professional ethics
- Prepare trainees for workplace expectations, safety standards, and professional conduct.
Qualifications:
- Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or higher qualification in Nursing, Health Sciences, Caregiving, or a related field.
- Certified Caregiver Trainer or Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in caregiving, healthcare services, or vocational training.
- Teaching or training experience in a vocational or skills development institution is an advantage.
