Role Description This is a part-time, on-site role for a Semi Qualified Chartered Accountant based in Kathmandu. The role involves assisting with preparation of financial statements, maintaining accounting records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The professional will help manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank and ledger balances, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local tax regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting budgeting and forecasting, preparing basic financial reports and analysis, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate financial data. The role may also involve assisting with internal controls, documentation for audits, and process improvements in financial operations.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, including experience with journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
Candidates should possess knowledge of financial reporting and analysis, with the ability to assist in preparing statements and supporting budgeting and forecasting.
Candidates should possess familiarity with taxation and compliance, including local tax rules, filings, and basic regulatory requirements.
Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and productivity tools (e.g., MS Excel, spreadsheets, financial systems).
Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work with confidential financial information.
Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Semi-qualified CA status (completed relevant CA intermediate/part-level exams) from a recognized body is required.
Prior experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in manufacturing, trading, or FMCG sectors, is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu during agreed part-time hours and manage multiple tasks independently.
