Job Description
About Us
Innovation Next is a Nepal-based fintech company delivering technology solutions across
South Asia, the MENA region, and with financial institutions in Nepal. We specialize in
payment infrastructure, KYC/AML, and regulated fintech systems, with deep experience
spanning digital wallets, interbank payment switches, GovTech platforms, and enterprise-grade builds across the full software delivery lifecycle.
Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and organized Project Manager from initiation through
completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and
managing project resources, schedules, and risks while ensuring successful delivery that
meets business objectives and stakeholder expectations. This role owns client engagements
end-to-end from Business Handover through Go-Live and AMC transition, combining
project delivery ownership with requirements definition, and serves as the single
accountable point of contact once Pre-Sales/BD hands off a signed deal.
Key Responsibilities
Handover and Kickoff
• Receive and validate the Deal Handover Brief from the Business/Pre-Sales team (SOW,
pricing basis, stakeholder map, assumptions, risk flags)
• Run the kickoff meeting promptly after handover; formally accept ownership from
Business
Requirements
• Lead Discovery workshops; author and baseline BRD, FRD/FR Register, and DSRS
• Write user stories, Gherkin scenarios, and atomic Functional Requirements per the
traceability methodology (Epic to Story to Gherkin to FR to Test Case)
• Maintain the requirements traceability matrix and manage the FR/QA subtask structure
in Jira
Delivery Management
• Select and justify delivery methodology (Waterfall/Agile/Hybrid) per engagement
criteria; document the decision in the project charter
• Own sprint planning and ceremonies (Agile) or stage-gate reviews (Waterfall), including
scheduling, agenda prep, and notes; track timeline, budget, and resourcing
• Run the weekly Client Engagement PMC (Project Management Committee) meeting:
status, risks, decisions, and action items with client stakeholders
• Track release timelines against estimated vs. actual dates; flag delays and document
root causes
• Monitor task hygiene: dependencies, blockers, overdue items, missing owners;
proactively flag risks
• Coordinate status updates across distributed teams (Nepal-based delivery, regional and
client stakeholders), accounting for timezone overlap
• Coordinate UAT execution and obtain client sign-off
• Manage the Change Request process: scope assessment, effort estimation, client
approval routing
• Prepare status reports, milestone summaries, and release notes; report project status,
risks, and KPIs to management and client stakeholders
Transition
• Lead the Go-Live to AMC/Support handover checklist jointly with the incoming AMC
Lead
• Ensure technical documentation, credentials, and warranty terms are transferred
before support begins
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, or related field
• 4+ years combined experience across Project Management and Business Analysis,
ideally in software/fintech delivery
• Experience writing BRDs, functional requirements, and user stories with acceptance
criteria
• Hands-on experience with Jira (or equivalent) for requirements traceability and sprint
tracking
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills;
comfortable running client workshops and internal delivery syncs
• Comfortable working across time zones with distributed teams
• PMP, or CSPO certification a plus
