Job Description

GharKarma is hiring a Structural Engineer to join our architecture, engineering and construction team in Kathmandu.

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer who can work closely with architects, site teams and consultants across residential, commercial, hospitality and institutional projects.

The role requires strong capability in structural analysis and design, preparation and review of structural drawings, site coordination, quantity take-off, BOQ preparation and cost estimation.

Key Responsibilities

Structural analysis and design of RCC and related building structures
Preparation and review of structural drawings and detailing
Structural coordination with architects and other engineering disciplines
Quantity take-off, cost estimation and BOQ support
Review of construction drawings and site conditions
Site inspection and construction support
Coordination with contractors, consultants and project teams
Identifying structural issues during construction and recommending practical solutions
Supporting design development from concept through construction

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience
Prior site/construction experience required
Strong understanding of structural design and construction practices
Experience with structural drawings, quantity estimation and BOQ preparation
Ability to coordinate effectively with architects and contractors
Good communication and documentation skills
Experience in hospitality, hotel or resort projects will be an advantage

Preferred Skills

ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD and other relevant structural engineering/design software.
