About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable Plant Operations Manager to oversee the operational backbone of our manufacturing facility in Bhairahawa.
This is not an HR role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth plant operations through effective coordination with government authorities, customs offices, SEZ authorities, utility providers, local stakeholders, contractors, and support service providers.
You will act as the company’s primary representative in the region while ensuring uninterrupted plant operations, facility management, statutory compliance, and administrative efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the company before government offices, SEZ authorities, customs offices, labour offices, and local authorities.
- Manage customs clearance activities and coordinate with clearing agents to resolve delays and operational bottlenecks.
- Ensure uninterrupted plant operations by managing electricity, water, utility services, and facility infrastructure.
- Oversee plant facilities including security, transportation, housekeeping, canteen operations, and contractor management.
- Manage local vendor relationships and service providers.
- Handle labour office coordination, statutory notices, inspections, and local compliance requirements.
- Support manufacturing operations by proactively resolving operational and regulatory issues.
- Maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, community representatives, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor plant operating costs and administrative expenditures.
- Identify operational risks and escalate critical issues before they impact production.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, industrial administration, plant operations, logistics, customs, government liaison, or industrial relations.
- Strong understanding of government procedures, customs processes, labour office requirements, and industrial operations.
- Existing professional network within Rupandehi/Lumbini region is highly preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and represent the company with professionalism and credibility.
