About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented English Mentor Supervisor to oversee mentor performance, ensure high-quality English mentoring sessions, and drive continuous improvement across the mentor team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining learning excellence, strengthening mentor engagement, and ensuring all communication and sessions meet a high standard of English proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Mentor Performance Management
- Monitor and evaluate mentor performance through regular QA (Quality Assurance) of English mentoring sessions
- Ensure mentors maintain high standards of spoken and written English
- Track KPIs and implement performance improvement plans where required
2. Feedback & Development
- Provide frequent, structured feedback with a focus on communication clarity, fluency, and delivery
- Conduct regular 1:1 sessions to guide mentors in improving their English proficiency and teaching effectiveness
3. Workplan & Scheduling
- Design and manage mentor schedules and session plans
- Ensure consistent availability of mentors for English-focused sessions
4. Team Management & Assessment
- Oversee daily mentor operations and maintain team performance standards
- Evaluate team capability and identify the need for additional English mentors
5. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Partner in hiring mentors with strong English communication skills
- Assess candidates’ English proficiency during the recruitment process
- Support onboarding and training aligned with expected communication standards
6. Grievance Handling
- Address mentor concerns professionally and in a timely manner
- Facilitate conflict resolution within the team
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, English, Business, or related field
- Excellent English proficiency (spoken and written) is mandatory
- Proven experience in mentoring, training, or team supervision
- Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess and improve language delivery and communication quality
- Good organizational and time management abilities
