Head Chef (Executive Chef)

Location: Vrikshya Cafe Restaurant & Bar, Lakeside, Pokhara, Nepal

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef (Executive Chef) to lead our kitchen operations, drive culinary innovation, and build a high-performing kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all kitchen operations.
• Develop seasonal and innovative menus while maintaining profitability.
• Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
• Control food cost, wastage, inventory, and kitchen budgets.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff.
• Create and standardize recipes, SOPs, and portion controls.
• Coordinate with management on menu engineering and business strategy.
• Manage supplier relationships and ingredient quality.
• Foster a positive, disciplined, and performance-driven kitchen culture.

Requirements

• Minimum 5–8 years of professional culinary experience, including leadership experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Sous Chef.
• Strong knowledge of Continental, Asian, and Fusion cuisine.
• Experience in menu development and kitchen cost management.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail.
• Hospitality degree or culinary certification is an advantage.
