Role Description The Demi Chef De Partie is a full-time, on-site role based in Naurikot, Mustang, Nepal, supporting the culinary operations of DOOLWA Camps & Resorts. This role involves preparing and cooking assigned menu items and ensuring dishes are presented consistently and to high standards. Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene and food safety practices, organizing mise en place, and helping manage stock rotation and storage. The Demi Chef De Partie collaborates closely with the kitchen and service teams to accommodate guest dietary needs, contribute to menu ideas that reflect local flavors, and support smooth kitchen service during busy periods.

Qualifications

  • Professional culinary training or equivalent practical experience in a hotel, resort, or camp kitchen.
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and plating standards.
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations, and kitchen cleanliness practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a respectful, collaborative approach to colleagues.
  • Adaptability to remote, outdoor, and high-altitude working conditions and flexible schedules.
  • Interest in local ingredients, Himalayan cuisine, and sustainable, mindful hospitality.
  • Previous experience in a resort, glamping site, or similar hospitality setting is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in Tibetan and Thakali cuisine will be prioritized.
