About the Company
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Service Engineer to support our growing renewable energy business in Nepal. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with solar PV systems, solar inverters, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), along with strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities
- 70% – Technical Service & Support
- Attend on-site service calls for Solar Inverter and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
- Perform installation support, commissioning, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose hardware, software, communication, and system performance issues.
- Provide remote and on-call technical support to customers, EPC contractors, distributors, and internal teams.
- Coordinate with regional technical support teams for issue resolution and escalations.
- Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance records, and root cause analysis (RCA) reports.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints while maintaining high service standards.
- Support warranty investigations and replacement processes.
- Follow safety standards, quality procedures, and site compliance requirements.
- Maintain service tools, test equipment, and spare parts inventory.
- 30% – Customer Engagement & Business Support
- Visit Independent Power Producers (IPPs), EPC contractors, developers, distributors, and key customers during non-service periods.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular technical interactions.
- Collect customer feedback, market intelligence, and competitive information.
- Support technical presentations, product demonstrations, and pre-sales activities when required.
- Coordinate with sales teams, channel partners, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Identify opportunities for Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), system upgrades, and additional service offerings.
- Represent the organization professionally during customer meetings, technical workshops, and industry events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical discipline.
- 2–3 years of experience in Solar PV, Solar Inverter, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), or Renewable Energy service.
- Hands-on experience in commissioning, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar inverter systems.
- Knowledge of grid-connected PV systems, protection systems, SCADA, and communication protocols such as Modbus, RS485, and Ethernet.
- Familiarity with utility-scale and commercial solar power plants is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Nepal.
Required Skills
- Experience working with leading solar inverter and BESS brands.
- Knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems.
- Experience working with IPPs, EPC companies, and utility-scale solar projects.
- Ability to read electrical singleline diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Good reporting and documentation skills.
- Basic understanding of Lithium-ion battery technologies, Power Conversion Systems (PCS), and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
