Team members collaborate closely with restaurant partners to refine features that meet real-world needs and drive sustainable growth.Role Description This full-time remote role is for an Expert Level Android Kotlin Developer who will design, build, and maintain advanced Android applications for the Grub Direct platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing new features in Kotlin, optimizing app performance, implementing intuitive Android UI/UX designs, and ensuring high code quality through testing and code reviews. The developer will collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate business requirements into scalable mobile solutions and integrate APIs securely and efficiently. The role also involves monitoring app stability, resolving bugs, and contributing to architectural decisions and best practices for the mobile codebase.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Mobile Application Development and building production-grade Mobile Applications.
- Expert-level experience in Android Development and Kotlin-based Software Development.
- Proficiency in Android Design principles, including Material Design and responsive UI/UX for diverse devices.
- Experience with modern Android frameworks and tools (e.g., Jetpack, Coroutines, ViewModel, Retrofit, Room).
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and secure client–server communication.
- Background in performance optimization, debugging, unit testing, and automated UI testing for Android apps.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in e-commerce, food delivery, or ordering platforms is a plus.
