Job Description

ConvergeStack is a software development, cloud infrastructure, and automation/AI consulting firm headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, with an engineering hub in Kathmandu, Nepal. We build and operate production-grade data and cloud platforms for mid-market US clients, embedding senior engineers directly into client delivery teams.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data engineering practice. You will be embedded in active client engagements, building and maintaining enterprise data platforms on Snowflake and related cloud infrastructure.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Design, build, and optimize Snowflake data pipelines: ingestion, transformation, and publishing layers for high-volume datasets.
  • Automate data workflows using Snowflake Stored Procedures, Tasks, and Streams.
  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT frameworks integrating multiple enterprise source systems into governed, analytics-ready layers.
  • Apply rigorous data quality, validation, and reconciliation practices to ensure audit-grade accuracy.
  • Tune query and pipeline performance, diagnose bottlenecks, and own production stability.
  • Partner with client stakeholders, architects, and QA teams to translate business requirements into durable platform capabilities.
  • Ensure data handling practices meet HIPAA compliance requirements, including access controls, data masking, and audit logging where applicable.
  • Contribute to CI/CD standards, deployment practices, and root-cause analysis for platform-level issues.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on Snowflake in a production environment.
  • Strong command of Snowflake: query optimization, Stored Procedures, Tasks, Streams, Dynamic Tables, Data Sharing, Snowpipe, Time Travel, Cloning, and ELT pipeline design.
  • Solid Python and SQL skills; PySpark experience a plus.
  • Experience integrating and harmonizing multiple enterprise source systems into a single data platform.
  • Understanding data quality frameworks, reconciliation logic, and SCD-type historical data models.
  • Cloud infrastructure familiarity: Azure (Data Factory, Key Vault) or AWS (EMR, Glue, Redshift).
  • Comfortable working directly with US clients in Agile delivery environments.
  • SnowPro Core or other Snowflake certification preferred but not required.
  • Backgrounds in US healthcare analytics (CMS, HEDIS, risk adjustment) are a strong plus.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Work on enterprise-scale US client engagements from day one, not internal projects.
  • Senior peer group: engineers with deep domain experience in healthcare data, cloud infrastructure, and platform engineering.
  • Collaborative, high-ownership culture. You own your work from end to end.
  • Exposure to the US technology and consulting market, with direct client communication.
  • Competitive compensation is based on experience.
