Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Study Abroad Counselor – North America, based in Kathmandu. The Study Abroad Counselor will work closely with students to guide them through the process of selecting study destinations in North America, applying to universities, preparing visa documents, and ensuring a seamless experience. Day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting consultations with students and their families, maintaining relationships with academic institutions, organizing information sessions, and supporting students in understanding application requirements and processes. The role also involves staying updated on international education trends and effectively communicating them to students and stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Expertise in guiding students with university selection, application processes, and visa applications for North American universities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students and parents.
  • Proficiency in research and presentation to provide accurate advice based on updated trends in international education.
  • Organizational skills for managing multiple students' applications, documentation, and deadlines efficiently.
  • Knowledge of North American higher education systems, and experience in handling admission or education consultancy processes is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field is preferred, along with fluency in English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and represent the organization in meetings and events.
