Posiiton: Senior  Finance Officer

For our Finance team based in Switzerland Head Office we are seeking a motivated and empathetic Senior Finance Officer PNP Projects, who will be based in Kathmandu, Nepal to join our organisation as per October 2026 or upon agreement. YOUR MAIN TASKS

A. Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare accurate and timely donor budgets, financial reports and ensure full traceability of financial data. Lead financial closings and ensure audit readiness. Support PNP team on donor compliance and financial requirements.

B. Controlling & Monitoring: Develop and maintain Management Information System (MIS) for PNP projects portfolio. Monitor project financial performance, analyze deviations, and support corrective actions. Contribute to forecasts and budget revisions. Act as partner to PNP team, support and provide analysis and guidance.

C. Systems & Process Improvement: Ensure high-quality financial data and support optimization of finance systems and processes. Contribute to standardization of reports and tools. Develop and maintain practical finance guidelines, process flows and templates.

D. Audit & Coordination: Coordinate audits and follow up on findings. Collaborate across teams and act as finance focal point for internal and external stakeholders. Support capacity building and knowledge sharing across countries about PNP portfolio.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration and/or finance, Master’s degree is an advantage for this position.

  • 8+ years of experience in finance in a Controlling / Management Accounting / analytical role incl.

  • Experience of 3-5 years with donor-funded projects in the international development / NGO context is required.

  • High proficiency with ERP, Finance systems and accounting software. Advanced Excel skills.

  • Good working knowledge of Power BI and/or other multidimensional data tools.
