The Sales Officer is responsible for promoting and selling the company's travel and tourism services, including domestic and international tour packages, airline ticketing, hotel bookings, visa assistance, travel insurance, and other travel-related services. The role focuses on generating new business, maintaining strong customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and delivering exceptional customer service to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through direct sales, referrals, networking, and corporate partnerships.
- Promote and sell the company's travel products and services to individual and corporate clients.
- Develop customized travel solutions based on customer needs and preferences.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets set by management.
- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and quotations.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Provide accurate information on travel packages, destinations, visa requirements, airline schedules, and travel policies.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries through phone, email, social media, and walk-in visits.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process and after-sales service.
Lead Generation & Follow-up
- Generate leads through digital platforms, referrals, corporate visits, travel exhibitions, and networking events.
- Maintain an organized sales pipeline and follow up on inquiries to maximize conversion rates.
- Coordinate with the Digital Marketing team regarding leads generated through online campaigns.
- Record customer interactions and sales activities in the company's CRM or sales tracking system.
Sales Administration
- Prepare quotations, itineraries, invoices, and sales documentation accurately.
- Ensure all customer bookings and travel arrangements are processed efficiently.
- Coordinate with the Operations, Ticketing, Visa, and Finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain accurate sales records and customer databases.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor travel industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences.
- Identify new market opportunities and recommend sales strategies to management.
- Gather customer feedback to improve products and services.
Reporting
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity reports.
- Report sales performance, pipeline status, and customer feedback to the Sales Manager.
- Track progress against sales targets and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
