Role Description The Veterinary Technician role at Top Vet Clinic is a full-time, on-site position based in Kathmandu. The Veterinary Technician will assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries, including preparing exam rooms, handling animals safely, and monitoring patient status. Daily responsibilities include performing basic laboratory tests, administering medications as directed, maintaining medical records, and ensuring equipment and facilities are clean and organized. The role also involves educating clients on pet care, treatment plans, and preventive health, while providing calm, professional support during visits. The Veterinary Technician will work closely with the clinical team to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of patient care.
Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in Animal Care and Pet Care, including safe handling, restraint, and compassionate patient support.
  • Foundational knowledge of Veterinary Technology, such as basic lab procedures, medication administration, and equipment use.
  • Experience or training in Anesthesiology support, including patient monitoring under supervision of a veterinarian.
  • Ability to provide clear, empathetic Client Education on treatment plans, preventive care, and at-home pet management.
  • Relevant veterinary technician certification or diploma, or equivalent practical experience in a clinical setting.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow clinical protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Kathmandu and accommodate clinic schedules, including weekends or evenings as needed.
