Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, tax compliance, and day-to-day financial activities of the organization. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, financial analysis, and accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts and financial records.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, invoicing, and bank reconciliation.
  • Monitor cash flow, expenses, budgets, and financial performance.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, ledgers, and supporting documents.
  • Manage VAT, TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with auditors, banks, tax authorities, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Monitor and control expenses to support effective cost management.
  • Ensure timely completion of tax filings and other regulatory requirements.
  • Identify accounting discrepancies and resolve financial issues promptly.
  • Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions and supporting records.
  • Provide accurate financial information and analysis to management for decision-making.
  • Supervise junior accounting staff and review their work when required.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable financial regulations.
Job Specification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, BBA, BBS, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Good understanding of VAT, TDS, income tax, and Nepalese tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally, ERP, or similar platforms.
  • Strong reconciliation, analytical, and numerical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in preparing financial statements and management reports.
  • Knowledge of accounting software/ERP systems.
  • Experience coordinating with auditors and tax authorities.
  • Professional accounting certification or relevant training will be an advantage.
