Job Summary

The Import & Export Documentation Officer will be responsible for preparing, checking, maintaining, and coordinating import/export and logistics-related documents to ensure smooth and timely shipment processing and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and verify import/export and shipment documentation.
Handle documents such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/AWB, Certificate of Origin, Insurance, and other required documents.
Coordinate with clients, suppliers, freight forwarders, customs, and internal departments for required documents.
Check documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before submission.
Coordinate with Customs and Freight Forwarding teams for shipment documentation.
Maintain proper records of import/export files and supporting documents.
Follow up on missing, corrected, or pending documents.
Track shipment documentation and update records regularly.
Support customs clearance and other regulatory documentation as required.
Prepare documentation reports and provide timely updates to the concerned department.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of import/export and freight documentation.
Understanding of customs and international trade procedures.
Good communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
Strong attention to detail and document accuracy.
Good knowledge of MS Office and documentation systems.
Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Business, or related field preferred.
1–3 years of relevant experience in import/export, freight forwarding, logistics, or documentation preferred.
Freshers with good knowledge and strong documentation skills may also be considered.
