Role Description The Business Development Officer (Junior) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kathmandu. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, supporting client acquisition, and maintaining relationships with existing customers. Day-to-day tasks include researching potential markets, preparing proposals and quotations, assisting in pricing discussions, and coordinating with operations and finance teams to ensure smooth service delivery. The officer will conduct regular follow-ups with customers, respond to inquiries, and provide basic customer service support related to cargo shipments. The role also involves collecting and analyzing sales data, contributing to sales reports, and supporting marketing initiatives to promote Nepex Cargo’s services.
Qualifications
- Strong new business development and customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Good analytical skills and basic finance knowledge to support pricing, revenue tracking, and business performance analysis.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency in using common office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation tools, email) and basic CRM or sales tracking tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu, collaborate within a team, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Prior experience in logistics, cargo, or related sectors is an advantage but not mandatory for motivated entry-level candidates.
