Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage inventory strategies for Raw Materials (RM) and Finished Goods (FG) to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing carrying costs and working capital.
- Optimize storage capacity and space utilization across warehouses, silos, and cold storage facilities.
- Ensure real-time inventory accuracy through SAP/ERP systems, cycle counts, and regular reconciliations.
- Monitor inventory trends and proactively manage damaged, expired, slow-moving, and obsolete stock.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to minimize inventory losses.
- Ensure efficient material flow from receiving, storage, production, and dispatch.
- Oversee cost-effective vehicle dispatch and optimize transportation and vehicle utilization.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in inventory control, warehouse operations, space utilization, and process efficiency.
- Lead, train, and develop the inventory/warehouse team to achieve operational and performance targets.
- Monitor inventory KPIs and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 10 plus years of experience in a managerial/supervisory role, with proven experience in inventory and warehouse management.
- Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment will be highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SAP/ERP, inventory control, stock reconciliation, FIFO/FEFO, and inventory planning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple operational priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
