Role Description The Articled Assistant will support audit and advisory engagements on a full-time basis at our on-site office in Kathmandu. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in statutory and internal audits, performing testing of controls, vouching, and analytical procedures, and supporting the preparation of working papers and audit documentation. The role involves helping with financial statement preparation, basic tax computations, documentation for regulatory filings, and reviewing client data for accuracy and compliance. The Articled Assistant will collaborate with senior team members, participate in client meetings when required, and contribute to research on accounting, auditing, and tax standards relevant to client assignments. The position offers structured learning, exposure to diverse industries, and progressive responsibility as competence and experience grow.

Qualifications

  • Must have passed CAP-II from ICAN having Strong foundation in accounting, auditing, and taxation principles, with the ability to apply relevant standards and regulations in practical scenarios.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; familiarity with accounting or audit software is an advantage.
  • Effective analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within professional teams and interact with clients respectfully.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professional ethics, and a willingness to learn, adapt, and manage multiple assignments against deadlines.
  • Prior internship or practical exposure in audit, finance, or accounting is beneficial but not mandatory.
