Job Description

The group represents leading accountancy and advisory firms with two offices in the city of London (UK) and its branches in Dubai (UAE) & Kathmandu (Nepal). All the work would be for the UK and international clients. You will have to work closely with our team in London and clients based in the UK and various countries around the globe. So, you will get exceptional international exposure.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits in our rapidly growing UK-based group of accountancy firms. You will be working from our office in Tinkune, Kathmandu.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and filing of financial statements for companies under UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Preparation of working papers, client packs, reporting packs, etc., as per requirements.
  • Preparation and filing of corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Communicating with clients in the UK and overseas via email, telephone calls, and video conference calls.
  • Preparing tax advice reports for clients spanning multiple jurisdictions, considering local and international taxes, accounting standards, legal issues, and the impact on company funding requirements.
  • Overseeing and assisting with processing all payments, including vendor invoices, individual reimbursements, payroll, and other accounts payable and receivables as required.
  • Dealing with tax authorities for successful tax claims and investigations covering R&D tax credits, capital allowances, stamp taxes, VAT, etc.
  • Performing bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Ad-hoc duties as required.
  • Involvement in research and product development for tax and accountancy products.

Qualification and experience:

  • Must be an ACCA professional-level student.
  • Priority will be given to candidates with outstanding academic records.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
  • A deep interest in taxation and finance functions is desirable.

Other Specification

  • Full training (on the job and off the job) will be provided.
  • Office hours: 10 am to 7 pm (5 days a week), with Saturday and Sunday off
