Role Description The Sr. Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in the Kalikot District. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking. The Sr. Accountant prepares and reviews financial statements, supports budgeting and forecasting, and monitors cash flow to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The role also involves overseeing tax compliance, coordinating with external auditors, and implementing internal controls to safeguard company assets. The Sr. Accountant collaborates closely with management and project teams to provide financial insights that support strategic decisions and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including experience with general ledger management and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Solid understanding of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes relevant to construction and trading businesses.
  • Experience with accounting software and spreadsheets, and the ability to work with digital tools for data management and reporting.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a track record of maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and explaining financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in construction, trading, or manufacturing industries is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification is an advantage.
