The team at Mithila Yatri Niwas focuses on creating a welcoming atmosphere that blends authentic Nepali culture with a comfortable stay for travelers.Role Description The Waiter/Waitress role at Mithila Yatri Niwas is a full-time, on-site position based in Nepal. In this role, the team member will greet guests, present menus, take food and beverage orders, and serve meals and drinks in a courteous and efficient manner. The role includes setting up and clearing tables, ensuring cleanliness in the dining area, and coordinating with the kitchen staff to deliver orders accurately and on time. The Waiter/Waitress will handle guest inquiries, provide recommendations, and resolve minor service issues to maintain a positive dining experience. Additional responsibilities may include processing payments, assisting with special events, and following all safety and hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming and respectful guest experience
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage offerings and basic Food Service procedures
- Clear and polite Communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
- Basic Cooking knowledge is a plus for coordinating with the kitchen or assisting with simple food preparation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays safely
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
