Role Description:
The Restaurant Server is a full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu. In this position, the Server greets guests, presents menus, answers questions about food and beverages, and takes accurate orders. The role includes serving food and drinks, checking on guests throughout their visit, and ensuring that tables are clean, properly set, and turned over efficiently. The Server handles payment processing, resolves basic guest concerns, and communicates with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service. Daily tasks also involve following health and safety guidelines, maintaining a tidy work area, and supporting teammates during busy shifts.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess skills in Food Service and Food & Beverage handling.
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills.
- Candidates should possess basic Food Preparation knowledge and awareness of hygiene standards.
- Previous experience as a server or in a similar hospitality role is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays or dishes safely.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic numeracy skills for handling bills and payments; familiarity with POS systems is an advantage.
