Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and talented CloudOps Engineer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructures across our client base, with a primary focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of hands-on experience in automating, orchestrating, and optimizing deployment pipelines and infrastructure on AWS.

Job Description:

As a CloudOps Engineer, your core responsibilities will include::

• Taking ownership of end-to-end workflows and intricate processes to ensure the seamless execution of projects.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex software and infrastructure issues.
• Participate in automation initiatives to streamline processes, improve efficiencies and reduce hosting cost.
• Designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure using cloud services, with a primary focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS).Implement and improve monitoring and alerting.
• Build and maintain highly available systems.
• Actively participating in supporting code development and delivery.
• Implement backup and retention policies for virtual instances, volumes, system logs and databases.
• Respond to production issues with urgency.
• Providing regular updates on project progress with a focus on managing deadlines and deliverables.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our client-specific products and infrastructure to support significant scaling efforts.
• Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
• Collaborating with the engineering team to make critical architectural decisions and deliver high-quality software, following best practices and design patterns.
• Maintaining communication with clients to understand their business objectives and requirements, proposing suitable CloudOps solutions.
• Staying current with emerging technology trends and industry best practices relevant to CloudOps practices and tools.

Job Specification:

Required Skills and Expertise:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Management, Computer Application, or related field.
2. Experience: 2+ years of experience as a CloudOps Engineer
3. Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting.
4. Cloud Services: Proficiency in AWS is mandatory. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure is a plus.
5. Operating System: Strong Linux and Windows system administration background.
6. CI/CD: Hands-on experience with CI/CD practices and tools, including Github Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI.
7. Containers and Orchestration: Proficiency in containerization technologies, such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
8. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform/Terragrunt or AWS CloudFormation.
9. Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and logging tools like ELK Stack.
10. Security Knowledge: Understanding of security best practices in a CloudOps environment and an excellent understanding of OWASP security guidelines for web development.
11. Healthcare Security Knowledge a plus: Knowledge and experience operation in a HIPAA, HITRUST and SOC2 environment a plus.
12. Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills, ability to work within cross-functional teams, and excellent communication skills.
