Hotel Dachi is strongly committed to personalized service, teamwork, customer satisfaction, and responsible tourism that supports cultural preservation.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Steward role based at Hotel Dachi in Bhaktapur. The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dishwashing areas, and related back-of-house spaces, including cleaning utensils, equipment, and workstations. The role includes supporting the Food & Beverage and kitchen teams by organizing and storing supplies, preparing service areas, and ensuring proper waste management and recycling practices. The Steward helps set up and clear buffet and service stations, assists in basic food preparation as directed, and follows all safety, sanitation, and hotel standards. The position requires close coordination with supervisors and colleagues to provide efficient support to operations and contribute to a smooth, guest-focused service experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to support guest-focused operations and effective teamwork.
- Foundational Food & Beverage and Food Service skills to assist kitchen and restaurant teams during preparation and service.
- Ability to participate in and benefit from Training related to hygiene, safety, and hotel operating procedures.
- Attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in kitchen and service areas.
- Ability to perform physically active tasks, including standing for extended periods and handling cleaning equipment.
- Previous experience in hotel, restaurant, or hospitality operations is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Basic literacy and numeracy; ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a clear, reliable manner.
- Commitment to teamwork, punctuality, and a respectful, inclusive approach to colleagues and guests.
