Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily workshop operations for vehicles.
- Ensure timely repair and maintenance as per OEM standards.
- Allocate jobs to technicians based on skills and workload.
- Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, and bay utilization.
- Supervise vehicle diagnosis, repairs, and final quality inspections.
- Ensure First-Time Fix (FTF) and minimize repeat repairs.
- Lead, coach, and develop workshop technicians and supervisors.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and technical briefings.
- Ensure compliance with EV high-voltage safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain workshop cleanliness, 5S, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure timely parts availability.
- Support Service Advisors in resolving technical and customer issues.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction (CSI).
- Monitor labor productivity, workshop revenue, and operational costs.
- Ensure accurate warranty claim processing and OEM compliance.
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly workshop performance reports.
- Monitor key KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Support annual business planning, budgeting, and manpower planning.
Job Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or a related field (Master's degree is an added advantage).
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in automotive after-sales service, including 3–5 years in a workshop leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of both EV and ICE vehicle diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and OEM service standards.
- Proven leadership, team management, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Dealer Management Systems (DMS)/ERP, Microsoft Office, and workshop safety and quality standards.
