Job Description
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily configuration of Optical Line Terminals (OLT), including creating service profiles and managing bandwidth.
- Handle ONU registration, tagging, and untagging of VLANs to ensure correct service delivery to customers.
- Identify and troubleshoot faulty OLT ports; manage port capacity to prevent congestion.
- Provide leadership and oversight for physical layer issues, including fiber cuts, connector cleaning, and power levels (dBm) at the customer end.
- Troubleshoot Layer 2 issues, including MAC address flapping, VLAN mismatches, and loop detection.
- Analyze "slow internet" complaints using ping tests, trace routes, and bandwidth monitoring to identify if the issue is local (WiFi/ONU) or network-wide.
- Configure and maintain Network Routing & Switching like Trunk Links and Cisco Basics.
Qualification:
- Strong understanding of FTTH architecture.
- Ability to diagnose "Slow Problem" complaints which may involve interference, congestion, or hardware failure.
- Diploma in IT is a plus
