Role overview
We are looking to hire for the position of Assistant Accountant.
This role will focus on supporting the group accounting team in performing various financial tasks across 14 different business units in OMG. You will be closely working with the team’s financial accountant & financial controller to ensure company policies are followed consistently across all the different business units.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly journal entries (accruals, prepayments, expense allocations)
- Monitor general ledger coding of payables invoices
- Analysis of P&L to ensure accuracy of month end reporting
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Assistance with completion of monthly Global P&L Analysis
- Assistance with monthly forecasting of overheads
- Assistance with audits and statutory reporting
- Adhoc Projects & Reconciliations as required by management
- Stakeholder management with the business team.
Qualification, Skills and Competencies
- Degree major in Accounting and/or Finance
- 2 years of experience in a related field
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and procedures
- Intermediate Excel skills
- SQL and Power Query experience is a plus
