Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Excavator Operator role based in Kosi Zone, Nepal. The Excavator Operator will safely operate heavy excavation equipment to dig, move, and grade earth and materials according to project specifications. Daily responsibilities include reading and following site plans, performing trenching and excavation for utilities and foundations, and coordinating with site supervisors and other equipment operators to complete tasks efficiently. The role involves conducting pre-operational checks, routine maintenance, and reporting any mechanical issues to ensure equipment reliability and safety. The Excavator Operator will adhere to all company safety policies, local regulations, and environmental guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications

  • Strong skills in equipment operation and heavy equipment handling, with proven experience operating excavators on construction sites.
  • Hands-on experience with excavation and trench work, including working to precise depths, slopes, and alignments as per engineering drawings.
  • Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance, daily inspections, and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues to keep machinery in safe working condition.
  • Knowledge of construction site safety practices and regulations, with a commitment to using personal protective equipment and following safety protocols.
  • Experience reading and understanding site plans, instructions from supervisors, and basic measurements for excavation work.
  • Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain for extended periods.
  • Relevant certification or license for operating excavators or heavy equipment, in line with local requirements (preferred).
  • Previous experience in road, infrastructure, or utility construction projects is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse site teams and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers.
