Chief Construction Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Chief Construction Manager to lead and oversee all construction operations under Panchakanya Group's Construction Business Unit Paramax Construction. This is a senior leadership role responsible for end-to-end project delivery, operational excellence, and building a high-performance construction team aligned with the Group's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of construction projects — from planning and design coordination to execution and handover

• Develop and implement construction strategies, operational plans, and quality standards across all projects

• Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery

• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of engineers, site supervisors, and construction staff

• Liaise with clients, government authorities, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution

• Ensure full compliance with Nepal's building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards

• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle

• Prepare and present project progress reports, financial summaries, and performance metrics to senior management

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in construction methodology, cost efficiency, and safety practices

• Support business development activities including bid preparation, cost estimation, and client presentations

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Masters degree preferred)

• Professional certification (NEC registration or equivalent) is mandatory

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in construction project management

• At least 5 years in a senior leadership or managerial capacity

• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale construction projects in Nepal

• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership, decision-making, and people management skills

• In-depth knowledge of Nepal building codes, NBC standards, and construction regulations

• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent)

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Strong financial acumen — budgeting, cost control, and contract management

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
